One-of-a-kind piece by Lula Máiz with ancient large white agate beads from the Fulani, a nomadic people from West and Central Africa. These agates arrived in Africa from India centuries ago via trans-Saharan trade routes. They are combined with ancient Venetian glass trade beads and gold beads. The clasp is contemporary, made of 18k gold.
This necklace shows natural signs of wear. The agates show flaws and wear consistent with their age, which reaffirms their authenticity.
